- Tottenham remain the best placed team to upset Leicester's title challenge
- Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas does not want Tottenham to win the title
- Spain international previously played for Spurs' north London rivals Arsenal
Cesc
Fabregas revealed he does not want Tottenham to win the Premier League
title this season - having played for their two London arch-rivals
Arsenal and now Chelsea.
Tottenham
are only five points behind league leaders Leicester after Monday
evening's 4-0 win over Stoke City at the Britannia Stadium and remain
the most likely club to deny the Foxes.
However,
speaking as a guest pundit on Sky Sport's Monday Night Football,
Fabregas said he would prefer Leicester to complete the most improbable
title win in Premier League history at Spurs' expense.
Cecs Fabregas admitted he does not want to see Harry Kane's Tottenham win the Premier League
The Chelsea, and former Arsenal, midfielder was speaking as a guest pundit on Sky's Monday Night Football
Asked
if he expected any more twists in the title race, Fabregas said:
'Hopefully not. I don't want Spurs to win it - I want to be honest and
clear.
'I would love, for what they've done for the rest of the season, I would love Leicester to win the Premier League,' he added.
Chelsea,
currently languishing 10th in the table, have endured the worst title
defence in modern history with Fabregas suggesting the team lacked the
effort required to retain the title this season.
‘Obviously
it is difficult because when you are champions, the rest of the teams
will improve and strength their squad and pre-season they will work hard
to beat you.
‘I
always say to retain things means you have to work double than the year
before. Unfortunately it wasn’t our year this year,' he said.

The Spaniard admitted that Guus Hiddink's change of tactics has restored his confidence at Stamford Bridge
Chelsea's
dismal start led to Jose Mourinho being replaced by Guus Hiddink -
with Fabregas admitting the Dutchman developed a game plan that has
returned his confidence as a creative midfielder.
'When
he [Hiddink] came at the beginning, things were not right. He tried to
find stability in midfield, he played Mikel and Matic with me as No 10.
When we drew with Manchester United we didn’t play the best game, and he
came and talked to me.
'We
were good at Crystal Palace, and from that moment he wanted me to come
deeper and make the team tick. He wanted me to be on the ball all the
time, and it’s the game I like to play… to be on the ball, it helped me
with my confidence.
